30TH ANNIVERSARY! Lenny Nero (Ralph Fiennes) is a policeman turned black-market hustler who sells illegal devices that record memories and physical sensations directly from the user’s brain. These Superconducting QUantum Interference Devices, known as a SQUID, allows buyers to experience the emotions and past experiences of others. Although bootlegged SQUIDs typically contain fraudulent incidents, Nero receives one showing the murder of Jeriko, a political activist. Set on uncovering who the killer is, he, with the help of his friend, bodyguard Mace (Angela Bassett), soon stumbles upon a vast conspiracy involving the police force Nero once worked for.
