Adapted from W. Bruce Cameron's best-seller, the movie follows a dog named Bella who is separated from its owner, Lucas. Determined to return home, Bella travels 644 kilometres to reunite with its human family again. During its travels, it manages to touch the lives of many, from an orphaned mountain lion cub to a homeless veteran down on his luck.
