When a middle school music teacher, Joe Gardner, dies from an accident, his soul is sent to the "You Seminar", a place where souls are developed and perfected. After graduating the You Seminar, each soul will then go to the real world to live inside a person. There, Joe has to work with other souls in training so that he can graduate. As he has always dreamed of performing at a legendary New York jazz club and almost had his chance before his accidental death, he must now work hard to return to Earth before it's too late.
