When young offender Mel Blight (Vincent Miller) is transferred from juvenile detention to a maximum-security prison, he finds himself sharing a cell with Australia’s notorious inmate Mark Shepard (Cosmo Jarvis, Sh?gun). Warren Murfett (Pearce), a hardened lifer desperate to reunite with his son Adrian (Toby Wallace, Acute Misfortune) on the outside, sees an opportunity: he manipulates Mel into targeting Mark, who carries a price on his head. As tensions mount, the bond between the three men deepens in unexpected ways, forcing them to confront their pasts, their humanity, and the possibility of forgiveness.
Executive-produced by Thomas M. Wright (The Stranger) and supported by the MIFF Premiere Fund, INSIDE was filmed in Melbourne and regional Victoria.
