Trailer & Synopsis
In 1971 the Hackney brothers from Detroit Michigan formed a band that played punk rock before any music was actually being called that. At that time, most young black men forming bands in Detroit would have played soul music (the city was home to Motown Records). Yet more unconventional than their music was their name, 'Death'. This documentary tells the story of the band called Death, the scattershot career they maintained before breaking up, and how their recordings came to be revived after three decades of languishing in obscurity.
